Board Treasurer

Remote (U.S.-based preferred)

Volunteer, Board Member

Approx. 2–4 hours/month, including quarterly board meetings

Provide financial oversight and strategic guidance to ensure LSTSI's fiscal health and transparency. Work closely with the Board Chair and Founder/CEO, as well as our U.S.-based bookkeeper and accountant, and our Myanmar-based bookkeepers to ensure accuracy, alignment, and sound financial practices across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
  • Review and present financial reports to the board quarterly
  • Ensure timely and accurate IRS Form 990 filings and other U.S. nonprofit compliance
  • Liaise with Myanmar-based bookkeepers to monitor international project expenses
  • Collaborate closely with the Board Chair and Founder/CEO on financial strategy
  • Provide financial insights to support fundraising efforts and grant applications
  • Evaluate financial risks and sustainability of new programs or expansions

Qualifications

  • Experience in nonprofit finance, accounting, or business management
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or other small nonprofit accounting tools (a plus)
  • Ability to work with international teams and multi-currency budgeting
  • Strong communication skills for translating financials to non-financial board members
  • Commitment to LSTSI's mission, transparency, and ethical financial stewardship

Board Member - Fundraising & Development Expert

Remote (U.S.-based preferred)

Volunteer, Board Member

Approx. 2–4 hours/week, including quarterly board meetings

Help grow a sustainable donor pipeline, deepen donor engagement, and support campaign strategy. Work closely with the Founder/CEO, Board Chair, and Outreach Coordinator to shape our fundraising direction and expand our reach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance on annual fundraising goals and initiatives
  • Help identify and cultivate major donor prospects, corporate sponsors, and foundation partners
  • Advise on fundraising event strategies
  • Support donor stewardship planning and recurring donor growth
  • Contribute to or review fundraising materials, pitch decks, or donor communications
  • Collaborate with board and staff on campaign calendars, messaging, and metrics
  • Attend fundraising events when possible and support peer-to-peer outreach

Qualifications

  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor development, or major gift strategy
  • Strong network in the philanthropic, corporate, or foundation space (animal welfare a plus)
  • Knowledge of fundraising platforms and donor CRMs (e.g., Network for Good, Classy, etc.)
  • Willingness to leverage personal and professional networks for good
  • Passion for animals, community-based solutions, and international impact

Operations Coordinator

Remote (occasional local support if near Wayland, MA)

Remote – 2–4 hrs/week

Unpaid

We're seeking a highly organized, dependable Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day administrative and programmatic needs of the organization. You'll work directly with leadership to streamline internal systems, manage donor records, coordinate educational programming, and assist with outreach for events. This is a remote, mission-driven role that offers the opportunity to make a global impact from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage donor records using Bloomerang and Qgiv
  • Organize and maintain internal files, including shared folders and meeting minutes
  • Assist with monthly board meetings (preparation, note-taking, and follow-up communication)
  • Respond to general email inquiries from donors and supporters
  • Track internal projects and ensure access to shared tools for the team
  • Coordinate local and online advertising for fundraising events
  • Collaborate with the Outreach Coordinator and Social Media Intern on planning and messaging
  • Track documentation and progress related to our humane education program in Myanmar
  • Coordinate updates and communication with in-country staff

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Reliable and comfortable working independently
  • Experience with donor management systems preferred
  • Familiarity with digital tools and platforms
  • Passion for animal welfare and international impact

Pours for Paws Fundraiser Volunteers

Weston Community Center

Event Volunteer

Saturday, September 13, 2025 | 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM

We're looking for amazing volunteers to help make our Pours for Paws wine tasting and paddle raise event a success! This event supports Let's Save The Strays International and will take place at the Weston Community Center. Multiple volunteer roles available with flexible shift options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Registration/Check-in (3 volunteers needed): Greet guests, check tickets, hand out paddle cards, answer questions
  • New Donor Sign-Up (2 volunteers needed): Assist guests in signing up for monthly giving, help with tech if needed
  • Wine Pull Table (2 volunteers needed): Manage wine display, handle ticket pulls, answer questions
  • Champagne Bubble Tent (2 volunteers needed): Welcome monthly donors, manage chocolates/giveaways, maintain the space
  • Floaters/Runners (2 volunteers needed): General help across stations, setup, guest needs, and last-minute tasks
