Stray Guardians protect
the world's forgotten animals

Members of the Stray Guardian Circle are monthly contributors who help support free veterinary care for stray animals in Myanmar, one of the world’s most underserved countries.

Myanmar's stray animal crisis
is a disaster

Millions of dogs roam the streets, barely getting by on scraps from kind strangers. In a country with few animal shelters and veterinary clinics, these dogs reproduce rapidly without anywhere to go for shelter, and no one to help them when they get sick, creating a hellish existence for animals and a dangerous situation for people in local communities.

Rabies epidemic

Nearly 1000-5000 people die of rabies exposure by dog bites every year in Myanmar, mostly children.

Culling practices

Out of desperation, Myanmar's government kills thousands of stray dogs using meat laced with strychnine - a slow and painful death.

Fortunately, there is a humane and effective way to lower Myanmar's stray animal population and keep people safe from disease, and you can be a part of it.

Be part of the solution

The most effective way to fix Myanmar's stray animal crisis is through free, community-based spay/neuter and vaccination programs. With support from people like you, we assemble teams of local Burmese veterinarians to create Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Release (TNVR) programs.

We are the only locally led international nonprofit in Myanmar creating TNVR programs. In 2024, we spayed/neutered and vaccinated 4,000+ animals.

None of this would be possible without the help of our

What it means to be a Stray Guardian

Be the lifeline — and the turning point — for Myanmar's free-roaming dogs.

For $30/month, you fund sterilization, vaccination, and the country's only humane alternative to mass killing.

Our Stray Guardians give $30 or more each month to stop the spread of deadly diseases and protect the lives of free-roaming dogs and cats — while helping transform how an entire country sees and treats its animals.

Your monthly gift does more than spay or neuter and vaccinate one animal. You'll be part of the only organization in Myanmar doing this work, standing alongside local teams to replace fear and mass poisoning with compassion, humane care, and lasting change. And because 94% of every dollar you give goes directly to the animals and communities we serve, you can be confident your support is making a real, measurable difference.
